Donald Vuong

Donald Vuong serves as Pharmacy Technician Tableting Supervisor at CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy, where he supervises and supports pharmacy technicians with daily workflow and operations, creates tableting schedules, and ensures adequate team coverage. He trains and mentors new and existing team members, assigns daily tasks, and monitors team productivity, while assisting pharmacists with operations and patient needs.

Donald brings 10 years of progressive leadership and pharmacy operations experience to CareFirst, advancing from Pharmacy Technician to Pharmacy Technician Tableting Lead and now Pharmacy Technician Tableting Supervisor. He began in 2016 performing non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounding, receiving and inventory management, labeling and dispensing prescriptions, and decontaminating and sterilizing labware, before stepping into a lead role in 2019 where he provided leadership, guidance, and training to pharmacy technicians and worked closely with pharmacists and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Donald holds a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University and is known for his strong background in team development, workflow coordination, problem-solving, and maintaining high standards in a pharmacy environment.
